Brancaster 2019

Day 4 - Thursday July 4th

It was Group A’s turn to try the team  challenges on this glorious Thursday morning in Brancaster. Team A have taken part in various team building games including: trust fall, lava river and lots more...

Great fun had by all so far today.

Day 3- Wednesday July 3rd

Group A were  lucky  enough to take a boat trip out to Blakeney Point to see the seals basking in the glorious sunshine...it was amazing

.

Cereals, yoghurts, toast, sausages and baked beans were on the menu this morning.

Group C have been participating in team challenges, including attempting to cross a lava river!

After tea, we all walked up the bike riding hill. We stopped off at the top and played cricket, thankfully Miss Doran had her first aid kit with her as the children discovered that some bushes and trees had sharp branches as they climbed trees and made dens in the bracken. On the way back to the centre, we saw a barn owl flying and a kestrel hovering over its prey!

.

Day 2 - Tuesday July 2nd

After a filling breakfast of cereals, beans, toast and bacon! Group A headed out for their cycling activity! We cycled over 5 miles up a very large hill and competed in cycling duals. The view as we cycled down was brilliant.  Whilst one group were cycling, the others were raft building and getting ‘the muddiest I have ever ever been in my life’ on the Coastal Safari! In the afternoon Group A took part in Beach Conservation where the children were handed gloves, litter pickers and a clipboard to collect and record the unnatural waste found along the beach, it’s amazing how many baby wipes and plastic bottle caps we found!

A great day of activities followed by a walk to the beach in the evening where we were lucky enough to see a sunset.

Day 1- Monday July 1st 2019

We have arrived safely and just had a lovely lunch of hot sausage rolls, sandwiches, pasta and lots more! We are off to start our afternoon activities now.

Back from our afternoon activities. Groups B and A had an informative nature walk along the boardwalk to the beach. When we arrived at the beach, we had time to explore the sand dunes and some of us collected shells.

This afternoon Group B went sailing. We learnt how to tie knots beforehand. All of the children had the opportunity to steer the boat and put the sails up.
