Sponne Author Week by Aimee and Alvin from Year 6

On Wednesday, we walked to Sponne to meet an author, Jon Robinson, the books he has written are ANYWHERE, NOWHERE and the last one SOMEWHERE.  Firstly we got to learn about the books and what inspired him to write them.  We also did a writing workshop and were given handy top tips, which were really useful, for when we were writing stories and other pieces of writing such as newsletters and comedy.  We have both bought the books and have thoroughly enjoyed reading them as they are about a group of boys trying to escape from prison but they have no clue why.

"I have really enjoyed the author signing today and have loved learning about more ways to improve my writing." Aimee has said.

"I have had a good experience here meeting him and now have a cool idea of a story to write." says Alvin
